I haven't done much during Christmas Break, but a few things I've found or looked at of aviation interest (to me at least)
First is FlightAware.com which is a web site that allow you to see "live" IFR aircraft tracking. It is not greatly different from many other online flight tracking site, except that it is FREE. I did a look at my bro-in-laws plane and noticed that it was in Florida. Today after talking with him I went back and saw the track of their leg today from KJVY to KPWK.
Here is the flight

You can check it out at FlightAware
I also found a great place for paint scheme ideas - example below

These can be found at Airdrome Aeroplanes
Finally, I purchased a new GPS software solution. The software that I have used, GPSy, has caused me some headaches trying to use digital aeronautical charts. The charts are quite large (40" wide) and therefore cover a large area of land. The charts use a projection that actually curves the lines of latitude and slant the lines of longitude across the map.
MacGPS deals with these charts just fine. My old GPS hooks up to the computer and software just fine - here is a screenshot.
